She was one of the key initiators and strategic planners behind the implementation of Arts on Prescription in J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping County for persons experiencing mental ill-health and\/or chronic pain. In 2024, Paula achieved a PhD with the thesis \u201c<em>Health promoting potential of Arts on prescription \u2013 Studies of people on sick leave for common mental disorders and\/or non-specific musculoskeletal pain.<\/em>\u201d The research explores participants&#8217; experiences of the AoP programme and its effects on sense of coherence and mental health \u2013 including stress, anxiety, and depression \u2013 compared to a control group. Paula is an active member of the national Swedish network Kultur f\u00f6r H\u00e4lsa, the Nordic research network Nordic Arts &amp; Health Research Network, and the Social Prescribing Swedish Network. She is also a highly regarded lecturer.
