Arts on Prescription Guide

How to Read the Guide

The online AoP guide is developed to provide you with practical information, tools, best practices, and cases to plan, develop and facilitate an AoP programme intervention in your local community.

The information in the guide is based on a generic AoP concept programme developed by the project partnership “Arts on Prescription in the Baltic Sea Region” (2023- 2025). The generic concept is closely aligned with several AoP programmes which have been previously tested and implemented in Denmark, Sweden and England.

The guide is thematically designed, with each theme containing several chapters and subchapters. You can navigate the guide’s content by accessing the sections that are most relevant to you at any given time.

The guide does not have a chronological structure therefore, each chapter/subchapter provides links that will direct you to related themes or topics. These links provide additional context or more in-depth information to present a comprehensive understanding of AoP.

Additionally, the guide’s glossary of terms provides further descriptions of terms found in the guide. You can access the glossary of terms here.

We recommend you begin your reading journey with Introduction to AoP and the “Arts on Prescription in the Baltic Sea Region”.
