Working Group

A local interdisciplinary working group is a valuable asset to the AoP programme. An interdisciplinary working group with representatives from referral channels and culture institutions will provide the necessary support for recruiting participants and selecting suitable culture and arts activities for the target audience.

The link worker has a significant role in coordinating the numerous processes and task involved in planning and executing the AoP programme. For this reason, it is an advantage to have a working group to create cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary workflows, which support the link worker in their role of managing the day-to-day running of the AoP programme. Read more about the link workers role and responsibilities here. Insert link to subchapter link worker.

In the planning and developing phase of the local AoP programme it is recommended that the working group meets regularly e.g. every 2 weeks as there are several tasks at the beginning of the programme that requires coordination among members of the group. Once the AoP programme is established the working group meets less often, e.g. monthly-3 monthly to discuss the AoP programme’s progress, potential challenges, continued advocacy for the programme and to discuss the AoP programmes sustainability plan and funding opportunities. This should be in dialogue with the steering group as they have the overall strategic overview regarding strategies, policies, and future political focus areas.
