Profile:
Cultural Region Funen is a collaboration between nine municipalities in Denmark who co-finance long term initiatives to develop a high artistic and cultural profile across municipal boundaries. As a program manager for Cultural Region Funen, Stine has extensive experience in leading multi-year cultural projects involving different municipalities, citizens and professionals within different disciplines. Her focus is on supporting knowledge sharing, co-creation, strategic planning and policy development with the aim of strengthening and developing culture institutions in local and regional communities as well as cross-sectoral collaboration. Name: Abier Saad

Profile:
With a social educatory background, Abier has worked with various age-groups. Abier is also a qualified recovery guide, meaning that she herself has recovered from mental illness. In her own mental health journey Abier experienced engaging in arts and being creative, helped her to improve her mental and emotional well-being. Abier joined the Arts on Prescription in the Baltic Sea Region project in 2024. In her role as a link worker, Abier incorporates her recovery guide training, working with people with mental health issues based on her own experience. This has given Abier unique skills to support participants in AoP programmes. As the main contact for the AoP participants, Abier has planned and led AoP group meetings, encouraging participants to self-reflect. Abier has helped participants in their mental health recovery, through a combination of self-reflection and engaging in the arts and culture.

Name: Hannah Goebel

Hannah’s has many years’ experience in working with mental health promotion and has worked with mental health promotion across various institutional contexts. Hannah is not new to working with incorporating culture and arts into health promotion initiatives, as she has been involved in several previous projects in this discipline, before joining AoP in the Baltic Sea Region project in 2023. With a background in psychology and social sciences, and as a qualified project manager, Hannah is skilled in interdisciplinary collaboration, understanding the complexity and logics of the different sectors involved. She is co- creator of the Train-the-Trainer programme for culture and arts facilitators. Hannah’s extensive experience brings together project management skills with professional knowledge in mental health promotion, lots of enthusiasm for the topic Arts and Health and a profound understanding of the practical work with target groups, thus leading projects to successful implementation.

Imke has many years’ experience working on health projects across various institutional settings. Prior to joining the health authority, she worked as a research assistant on both national and international projects. At the health authority, she is responsible for facilitating collaboration among diverse stakeholders in the field of mental health care. Since 2023,  she has been co-coordinating the AoP in the Baltic Sea Region project and has been involved in developing the train-the- trainer programme for culture and arts facilitators. She has also been proactive in engaging local referral channels to support the AoP programme in Bremen. Name: Leonie Koch

Leonie is an art therapist and in her Master’s thesis, she focused on the topic of creativity and health promotion and well-being. She has over 2 years’ experience working with vulnerable citizens in a psychiatric clinic and working in interdisciplinary teams. Leonie as a link worker in the Arts on Prescription in the Baltic Sea Region project in Bremen was responsible for the planning and organising of arts courses for the participants, as well as advising culture and arts facilitators of the target audience’s needs and closely collaborating with the facilitators to promote mental wellbeing among the participants. Moreover, Leonie as a link worker was also the participants contact person. Her knowledge on the effects of connecting creativity, culture and health promotion, and her skills in planning meeting agendas and leading group meetings ensured all AoP participants felt secure during their regular meetings.

Baiba has over 15 years of extensive experience in the field of youth work, particularly with young people from vulnerable backgrounds. As a museum educator at the Eduards Veidenbaums Museum since 2019, Baiba works mainly with schoolchildren and youth groups, introducing them to literature, mental health literacy, values, and social skills. Since 2023, Baiba has developed diverse cultural programs to support the mental health of older people experiencing involuntary loneliness. Baiba’s  skills include establishing Cēsis Municipality’s Museums on Prescription program and developing a collaborative framework for the municipality’s health, social, and cultural institutions. As a link worker, Baiba has close working relationships with social and healthcare professionals, cultural workers, and artists, and provides AoP training for cultural professionals in close partnership with freelance artists and institutions. Baiba’s coordination and interrelation skills as participants contact person ensures participants feel safe and supported throughout their AoP journey.

Inga is a research assistant involved in several international projects with a focus on the cultural sector’s impact on sustainable development, also within the area of health and well-being. Inga has a background in heritage interpretation and museum work since 2008. From 2021.2023 Inga collaborated with the Eduards Veidenbaums Museum “Kalāči” to develop Latvia’s first permanent exhibition and educational program focusing on mental health. Inga co-authored the guide, Talking Points: Arts and Health in Communities. Inga also contributed to the European Commission preparatory action CultureForHealth, which secured the inclusion of “culture and health” in the 2023.2026 EU Work Plan for Culture, where Inga represents the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia in the European Commission’s Culture and Health OMC group. Since 2023 Inga has been involved in Arts on Prescription in the Baltic Sea Region project leading the Museums on Prescription programme in Cēsis Municipality and supporting the project collaboration framework.

Marta is a Senior Advisor and has been implementing externally funded international projects for over 19 years. Martha has navigated between her several roles in Arts on Prescription project, as project manager, link worker and evaluator for the AoP pilot programme and activities. Her tasks included the organisation of workshops for young people participating in the AoP programme, across various towns in the West Pomeranian Region. Marta experience gives a unique perspective on preparing and organising AoP programmes from start to finish. She possesses valuable knowledge in working with arts facilitators and referral channels, dealing with imposed procedures and legal regulations. Furthermore, Marta personnel skills have been invaluable to supporting and working with young participants.

Elias’s responsibilities included data collection contributing to evaluation of the AoP pilot programmes 2023-2024 in the Region of Norrbotton. Elias has led the AoP twinning cities programme, planning and organising transnational knowledge exchange meetings, gaining broader perspectives on how AoP can be adapted to different contexts in promoting participants and community wellbeing. Furthermore, Elias advocates for Arts on Prescription by presenting knowledge and findings from Arts on Prescription in the Baltic Sea Region at regional and international public health and culture events.
